Debes estar sentado cerca del inodoro con la manga puesta y la punta de la manga en el inodoro. Sujetando el cono hacia arriba, abre la manija del tubo ligeramente para permitir que pase agua por el tubo. Cuando empiece a salir el agua, cierra el tubo. Con el tubo bien cerrado, desliza el cono en tu estoma. Cuando esté el cono en su lugar, con cuidado gira la manija del tubo para abrirlo. Permite que fluya el agua con cuidado en el estoma por unos 10 minutos. Después cierra la manija del tubo. Espera un minuto, después retira el cono. Sella la parte superior de la manga. Permite que salga por la manga agua y heces en el inodoro por unos 40 minutos. Una vez que dejen de fluir agua y heces, quita la bolsa y vacíala en el inodoro, limpia y seca la piel alrededor del estoma. Cubre el estoma con una bolsa pequeña para cualquier cosa que drene. Puedes levantarte y moverte con libertad ahora. Llena la bolsa con tres partes agua tibia y una parte vinagre, ciérrala y agítala. Vacía la bolsa y enjuágala con agua. Cuélgala y permite que seque. Cuándo hayas terminado, lávate las manos.
